Dream Catcher Flower Wreaths

Here is my latest Dreamcatcher-Flower Wreath hybrid (pictured above) for a dear friend who is getting married soon. She wanted Peacock feathers to represent the goddess Hera and I added two bottles with sand, shells and love blessings. There are eight peacock feathers in total since 8 in numerology represents eternity and infinity.

I included two small glass bottles that contain sand and shells from Cyprus and love blessing notes to wish the newly weds a happy marriage and life together.

“Beloved I seek to know you, and I asked the Gods and Goddesses that I be given the wisdom to see you as you are, and love you as a mystery. I will take joy in you, I delight in the love for you. You are to me, the whispering of the tides, and the warmth of the summer’s heat. You are my friend and my lover. Grow old and wise with me, as I will do for you.
There is a life before us of rainbows and sunsets, and a willingness to share in happiness and in sadness. I adore you. I love you.”

– Love Blessing prayer

To develop my skills as an artist I am considering taking floristry workshops, not to become a florist but to utlize the knowledge learned for my own creations and projects. Learning from a professional about floral installations, table pieces, wreaths and arrangements would really broaden my skill as an artist and it is a skill I can incorporate in my women’s circles- creating mandalas, ceiling installations and floral sculptures around the room. I am also looking into doing a botanical illustration course too.

Alongside building a yoga/holistic teaching website I wish to build a separate website that showcases my art and the whole theme for it will be on botanical and florals to promote myself to events and functions like weddings, corporate evenings and more.

Below are two more dream catcher- flower wreaths as gifts for friends. This was my first attempt at creating a moon web and it looks really lovely. I plan to make more and play around with new web patterns too. I’d also love to include ethically sourced animal bones and fur to create incredible shamanic animal spirit dream catchers. Perhaps one day I’ll have an exhibition of my work somewhere?

All material is ethically sourced, flowers are fake and the fabric used is from a white dress that sadly became stained whilst in the washing machine, instead of throwing it away to be in a land fill, I upcycled the fabric and added it to the dream catchers, I kept the top half as a bandeu top (pictured above).
