Super Scorpio Flower Moon

In the pain, there is healing, So I’m holding on.-Lifehouse

Beltane and Full Flower Moon Blessings beautiful beings!

Today is the super full moon in Scorpio during Taurus season. This makes for an intriguing time. Taurus is ruled by Aphrodite who governs beauty, sensuality and harmony. Taurus is an earth sign so coupled with the goddess of love you think of earthly pleasures, eating strawberries surrounded by wildflowers naked in the sun! Bring Scorpio into the mix and you may have some friction. Scorpio is the sign of sex, death and rebirth.

Ruled by Hades the full moon in Scorpio reflects our shadow side creeping to the surface (since the moon reflects the sun) as we try to enjoy the flowers, fruit and harmony that traditionally this flower moon is supposed to bring. This makes sense when you look at current affairs globally. We want to enjoy the beautiful pleasures this month brings but this supermoon also conjoures up and feeds on a lot of fear, suspicion, manipulation, jealousy, death and self destruction on a global scale. The good news is, Scorpio is also about rebirth, out of the ashes we can rise and create new life. This full Scorpio moon is telling us, things are dark now but soon all this will blow over and we can fully enjoy the flowers again! This super moon is going to amplify your darker and repressed part of ourselves on all levels but they need to come into the light in order for the rebirth to place. Continue reading

A day with me on Halloween! A bit late I know but hey this video might make you smile? Many people have said over the years in both work and social settings that my personality is a breath of fresh air and should be shared on platforms like youtube so I am giving this a go, see what happens?
I plan to do more vlogging in the foreseeable future as on the odd occassion I do enjoy editing and making people smile. Enjoy this over a cup of tea, I hope it warms your heart.
I will post more vlogs and videos on travel, art and belly dance too.

Goddess Magic

Spending time with friends in Cyprus has given me new life lessons. Bali gave me studies in all things yoga with practical tools to help me teach all I know, Australia gave me  lessons about the heart- it was an emotional experience, Cyprus has given me lessons about my soul, my past lives and my own spiritual practice.

My spiritual practice is difficult to define because it’s a mixture of things. I joke that I am a yoga witch and it’s kind of true if you break down both these words.
I love the practice of yoga and the yogic philosophy, I practice mantra and Kirtan and make offerings to Hindu goddesses and because of my trainings in Bali, I can now guide others on this path or lifestyle. BUT I also consider myself “Pagan” too and I work with the old gods of the West as well. My soul feels so connected to the Greek-Egyptian “Pagan” beliefs and I’m trying to learn more to uncover aspects of my soul and possible past lives. I’m definitely a woman of the goddess and goddess movement and a few people in Cyprus have told me I have an ancient Egyptian vibe about me. I adore learning about ancient priestesses and oracles that reside in temples all over the world, I am passionate about ancient symbols and stories that teach about life. I am in love with goddess archetypes and so on.

The Healing Powers of a Women’s Circle

New article up with Rebelle Society all about the ancient history of women’s circles, what they are, why they’re important for modern women and my love for the Be Woman Project.

I have had a facination for witches covens, goddess gatherings and priestess temples for so long now. I do feel this is a past life coming through- perhaps I was once an ancient Egyptian Priestess? Who knows? I really wanted to write a piece that discusses the general history of women’s circles in the ancient world, tribal communities and their comeback in Western society.

This is really only an introduction and a guide into this world and I’m working on a Goddess gathering book that includes working with Goddess archetypes in your ciricles and for yourself, meditations, visual journeys, how to create your own circle, art activities for women and other lovely things like making and preparing herbal teas and blends for specific goddess personalities- What would an Aphrodite woman love to drink? Maybe a Saraswati woman loves Oolong? My own poetry and illustrations will be included with mantra and pagan blessings. All kinds of yummy stuff for the modern goddess!

Until then, have a read of this article:

“Her words, like the hum of a bee to the lavender flower; a soft, gentle murmur of devotion and gratitude. Inside her heart walks the goddess — barefoot and shining like a vast ocean unfolding and dancing, as her great eagle wings rise with the moon to kiss the stars.”

Magic in the Mundane: Being a Persephone woman

“Of course there must be lots of Magic in the world, but people don’t know what it is like or how to make it. Perhaps the beginning is just to say nice things are going to happen until you make them happen.”

“And the secret garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles.” – Frances Hodgsong Burnett/ The Secret Garden

I truly believe in magic in the mundane, the magic of plants and the subtle body and our connection to everything. I think I always have. I remember being that little girl that talked to trees and collected rose petals to make love potions and perfumes. I remember burying diary entries into the mud and asking the earth to take away my pain. Now I’m older I have a passion for acquiring knowledge on the Chakras and Esoteric Ideas. As well as psychospirituality and Intuitive Herbalism. It is going beyond what ordinary science can teach us and going into the realms of metaphysics. Exploring possibilities of our potential and the potential our own planet posesses too.

My Reiki Master Level 3 Training

Following the path of Reiki was not something I purposefully pushed for, it kind of just happened and it seems like the more I surrender to the universe and live in the present moment, unexpected and good things have happened to me. This new found practice stems from leaving my ex partner and my life with him in Plymouth, UK. The moment I left everything behind, it felt like I had set sail. Before I knew it I had booked my place on two trainings in Bali I wanted to do and from this balance of desire for what I want and surrender to the big cosmic flow, good people and good moments have been popping into my life like daisies. Things are just happening for me!

My Reiki level one attunment was actually more of a rebellion from my ex. I had just completed a day course in Indian Head Massage to test the waters and to get me on that holistic path. I knew my end goal was to attend a yoga teacher training and I was going to weekly yoga class for two years; but I needed smaller pockets of continuing professional development in the meantime. Indian Head Massage was the first and Reiki level one was the second. All my Reiki attunements have two things in common: One being they happened magically and two being that all have been facilitated by women.

The Be Woman Project: Durga Devi Circle Training

Jai Mata, Jai Kali, Durga Devi Namo Namaha. Jai Mata, Jai Kali, Durga Devi Namo Namaha. Shakti Kundalini, Jagadumbe Mata! Shakti Kundalini, Jagadumbe Mata!

Upon finding her seal skin, the Selkie is now in search of her sisters to take her back to the sea, back to her true self. She searches high and low and sings a sweet song to the animals for help. She asks dragonfly and blackbird who tell her to board a plane. She asks horse and dog who tell her to leave behind unwanted belongings, she speaks to frog and newt who tell her to meet their cousin Gecko in Bali. “There you will meet your sisters, and there you will know your heart.” they say. The Selkie brings her best friend Phoenix along to experience the journey too!

Having just left a long term partnership and life back in Devon, UK in the summer of 2018 and with no responsibilities and a small lump sum of savings. I took a calculated risk to do something big, beautiful and life changing for myself and that was to go to Bali and attend a Women’s circle facilitator training with The Be Woman Project in February 2019. I spent the summer months living with friends and working super hard to save up and left Plymouth in the beginning of December. I lived with family over the winter months and left for Bali on the 23rd February with my best friend. It was our first holiday together made extra special because she was granted a scholorship on the Be Durga training. I couldn’t afford to pay for everything but I wanted her to experiance this training, she’s done so much for me over the years and with Sharada’s help, I was able to bring her. We didn’t actually get to spend a lot of time together but that was OK, both of us are very individualistic and at times desire our own space to reflect on things, we shared the same room but I wanted her to have the freedom to make friends and have her own unique experience without me attached to her hip. We did manage to get a few pictures together though.

Manifesting the Home and Love I want

It all started with a film and a book. I didn’t realize back then at the age of 15 when I watched “Practical Magic” how much of an impact it made upon me and how I envision my life. It sounds rediculous to say that a movie inspired how I wished to live, but actually it gave me a visual map or a basic mood board on what lifestyle I wanted to manifest when I grew up. In many ways I knew early on that I wanted to be a sort of earth mama, not necessarily be a stay-at-home-mum but to just be more present as a mum (if I become a mum), but even if I physically don’t become a mother to my own children, I am still a nurturer to other things and other beings.
I definitley see myself surrounded by dogs, a black cat and numerous house plants to care for as well as a herb garden and a bee hive.

You all know of my 5 year plan which has now come to completion. I’m very well traveled, I’m also qualified as a yoga teacher, women’s circle facilitator and reiki practioner with knowledge on mental health, nutrition and counseling skills. I’m now right there at the top of that mountain that I’ve climbed for 5 years and I see another mountain to climb in order to manifest the greater life picture.

Reiki Training Level 2 with Joanna Lewins

I was in Bali for two months to do two life changing courses. Leaving 10 boxes of belongings in my mum’s attic and only taking two small suitcases of essentials with me, I left England late February with a flexible plan and an open heart. I was already booked onto the Women’s Circle training which lasted ten days in Ubud and then I went on to do my 200 hour yoga teacher training in Canggu for 22 days.

Then something unexpected and amazing happened. I found the courage to miss my return flight, extended my visa so that I may stay in Bali for another month and I returned to Ubud with a new friend who was my roomate on the teacher training. Janie and I had a general plan to be site seeing buddies for two weeks before we go our separate ways. Residing back in Ubud and staying back at Gerebig Bungalows one morning I am checking my social media platforms and discovered that a Reiki therapist and teacher that I love, Joanna Lewins, was holding a Reiki Level 2 training in Ubud, on the day I was supposed to catch my return flight and she was facilitating it literally ten minutes away from where I was staying!

Imbolc Blessings and Intentions

“May the blessing of the rain be on you; the soft sweet rain.
May it fall upon your spirit so that all the little flowers may spring up, and shed their sweetness on the air.
May the blessings of the great rains be on you, may they beat upon your spirit and wash it fair and clean, and leave there many a shining pool where the blue of heaven shines, and sometimes a star.”- Traditional Irish blessing.

We now return to Imbolc, light a candle in a private corner of your home. Bring your face close and let its flame dance its teasing warmth across your skin. Track your breath, slow, slow in and slow, slow out, relaxing ever deeper into the physical movements of your body with breath.
